The 1.0 Programme of NG-CARES — Community Action, Resilience and Economic Stimulus — was a transformative intervention that made a significant impact across communities in Enugu State.
Following the advent of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State, in 2023, the agency significantly scaled up its community engagement, projects, and interventions across the state. This resulted in a record-breaking level of implementation achieved within the space of three and a half years.
So far, approximately 146 communities have benefited from CSDA interventions under the NG-CARES Programme, with projects designed to strengthen community resilience, improve livelihoods, and enhance access to essential infrastructure and services.
Operation 2.0 now signals the second phase of the NG-CARES intervention programme, building on the achievements and lessons of the first phase.
His Excellency, Dr. Peter N. Mbah, remains intentional about the successful implementation of the NG-CARES 2.0 Programme, supporting the agency in meeting the required standards and fulfilling every necessary requirement for seamless implementation, excellent outputs, and sustainable outcomes for the people of Enugu State.
